Jared Cockrell is an assistant men’s ice hockey coach at Connecticut College, where he works closely with players on skill development, practice planning, video analysis, and recruiting.

A native of Kents Hill, Maine, Cockrell played four seasons at Colgate University, appearing in over 100 career games and serving as team captain in his senior year. He continued his career at St. Cloud State University, where he helped the Huskies reach the NCAA National Championship game.

Following his collegiate career, Cockrell played professionally in the ECHL with the Wheeling Nailers before transitioning into coaching.

With experience at the Division I, professional, and now NESCAC levels, Cockrell brings a modern, detail-oriented approach to player development. His coaching focuses on position-specific skill work, competing habits, and preparing athletes to perform at the next level.
